Tree Walks
with Kris Jensen
For almost 15 years, Kris has been helping to lead “Edible Tree Walks” throughout Silicon Valley in partnership with multiple organizations. This walk with Solarpunk Christian will take you on a journey through a Cupertino neighborhood where you’ll learn to identify trees and various plants that produce something edible. It won’t always be the fruit you’d expect, so be prepared to be surprised. We’ll also be stopping all along the way to talk and share stories, so you won’t be getting much exercise.

Kris Jensen is a certified permaculture designer who has worked in the nonprofit sector his entire career. He is guided by the foundational principles of permaculture: care for the earth, care for people, and the ethical redistribution of surplus. Additionally, Kris views his work through a restorative lens informed by his faith. While his focus has primarily been on issues related to the environment and food security, he recently took a detour to run the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles.
